Anglesey Wedding Photographer

I WOULD NEVER HAVE GUESSED years back that I would now be an Anglesey wedding photographer. I’ve been lucky enough to visit the island of Anglesey since I was a young child. As a family we spent many a fortnights holiday on the island, mostly staying near to beaches such as Dulas with its smooth pebbles and racks of dry seaweed stranded at the point of high tide.

Incredible Llanddwynn Island

Nestling on the north-west corner of Wales, with 125 miles of spectacular coastline all designated as Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the backdrop of the mountains of Snowdonia, the Isle of Anglesey is an exciting place at any time of year. From the beautiful Menai Straights, the spectacular South Stack and the incredible Llanddwynn Island. There is so much to appreciate and always something new to see especially with the ever changing weather and sky that North West Wales brings. Wildflame Productions are to produce a series filmed on Ynys Llanddwynn with the working title of Cockle Bay, where four families will be sent back to 1906 to experience life as fishermen and women for an entire month. The filming for this series has now completed and one of the buildings seen in the photographs below has been removed form the island.

Anglesey is increasingly popular

Much of Anglesey today retains the charm that I so fondly remember. Anglesey is increasingly popular with tourists especially during the summer months as many come from the mainland UK to see the island’s top attractions. Therefore, my advice is to get off the main roads and explore. You don’t have to venture too far to discover there are still some rural roads and lanes with a central line of grassy vegetation growing – definately not suitable for Reliant Robins! This photograph was taken in the summer of 2018 as I was making my way to the wedding bridal prep somewhere near Soar.

Wedding Venues on Anglesey

THERE ARE SOME FABULOUS WEDDING VENUES on the Isle of Anglesey. These include Chateau Rhianfa, Tre-ysgawen Hall Hotel and The Outbuildings and each of these are wonderful venues to consider for an Anglesey wedding. Of course it’s also never been a better time to plan your wedding almost anywhere on the Isle of Anglesey. Recent changes in the UK law will now allow legal ceremonies to take place anywhere in England and Wales. Instead of the previous stipulations of the legal ceremony taking place in a structure with a solid, permanent roof with a designated licence you are now free to go and choose your farm or field or beach! What makes Anglesey so special as a wedding destination?

An ever increasing number of people are realising the incredible outstanding natural beauty of North Wales, Snowdonia and Anglesey. Bride and grooms who maybe experienced Anglesey on a family holiday. Those who found the island whilst visiting North Wales to experience the ever growing attractions it offers away from the crowded cities elsewhere in the UK. People who were lucky enough to grow up in North Wales and want to show how incredible it is to all their family and friends…. As a result North Wales, Snowdonia and Anglesey show no signs of slowing the increasing trend of attracting people to the area. Moreover, Anglesey as a wedding destination is up there with the best in the UK and much further beyond. As an Anglesey wedding photographer I want to be there to photograph your day as it happens, as it unfolds and as you experience it.
