On a steaming hot saturday in July I pointed my Saab south and took the scenic route to a most delightful area of Kent. This was the location that Lizzie and Olivier had chosen to take their marriage vows with a humanist celebration on Lizzie’s childhood home of Crowhurst Hop Farm. For a few minutes i thought it was THE HOP FARM in Kent of famous artists and bands but soon learnt that it was famous for it’s crops of fruit and hops but most importantly was Lizzie’s family home.

The farm had been transformed between the orchards into a stunning area of a marquee, rustic tents, camping area, lawned garden and even a couple of portaloos. It was almost festival like although no wellies were required thanks to the sensational weekend of weather experienced.

Olivier’s family came over from the south of france for the weekend and whilst traditions for a french wedding are quite different they were made to feel very at home and indeed showed us how dancing should be done!

A fabulous day for all whom had the great pleasure of attending.
